I recently recorded this original song and thought it was time to release it into the world. This song started with a circular-sounding melody, followed days or weeks later by one line - "The end is just a new place to begin." For a while, I just wasn't sure what the song wanted to be, only that it was circular in nature. Once I had that one line, the rest of the song just sort of fell into place. 

The lyrics express my feelings at the end of a project, possibly at a point of failure, certainly with a little taste rock bottom. It is couched in terms of a romance, though it was never about a romantic relationship for me. The "end" is, for me, a sort of sacred space where the old used to be and the new waits to be created. As soon as I can move beyond my feelings of loss and being lost, I realize I am at a point of intense freedom, fertile with possibility, and my inner eyes fill with a grand buffet of what I might do next.
