April Nicholle "Gauri" Bond is a folk singer-songwriter currently living in Denver, CO. She is an expert lyricist with a Master’s in English Creative Writing: Poetry from the University of North Texas, where she studied under the direction Dr. Bruce Bond. Her lyrical topics are greatly influenced by “protest music,” which is what drew her into songwriting and include Labor, political activism, and climate change. 

In addition, she descends from a family of classical musicians and has studied music and voice her entire life. April left her home in Kansas to begin her  nomadic  life at the age of 13, residing in nine states, in five countries, and on four continents. Her musical style is a reflection of her international experience and engages elements from multiple cultures, presenting exotic musical elements and ideas in an accessible and enchanting musical package.  She calls her current musical style “nomadic folk," as her travels have brought Celtic, European, Argentinian, and Indian flavors to her music. 

April has pursued her interest in world religions and Integral Yoga for the last twenty years and is a certified Integral Yoga Instructor. She has previously appeared as a member of People We Know, Cain & April, Cain & April with the Original Sinners, and the Unquiet Grave. She works as a freelance writer, yoga teacher, and musician, currently appearing solo.
